"The Government conducts a monthly sample survey called the Current Population Survey (CPS) to measure the extent of unemployment in the country."

As you can see, no actual unemployment count, only polling people living in their own homes and their relation with unemployment. No accounting for human error, and no tolerance factors, which in most people polls is plus/minus three percent.

Which means that the present 8.1 unemployment should be plus/minus 3 percent
