I'm working slowly through a book on how to make a game. I have an idea for a game that my co-workers seem to have taken a shine to. I figured I'd let A2K in on the idea.
The game is tentaviely called "Daywalker Project".
Basically you're a kind of "Private Eye/Mercenary" who was hired by the US Government to destroy a unit a 1/2 human, 1/2 vampire "super soldiers" that were activated after 9-11.
The soldiers escaped during a training mission.
You have at your disposal a variety of weapons; a sword, a UV pistol and UV rifle, a garlic grenade, and a maltese cross that you use like a boomerang.
Sound good?
It's been done, but not like that. Maybe you would get a few points for controvosery, but it sounds tacky to me.
Actually, I need to get back to work on this a bit.
Can't be any woirse than "New Patriot"
I'm trying to get started in the game industry myself; take a look at some other vampire games, Bloodrayne, Blade, Underworld (my favorite), Bloodlines, Etc. I just can't shake the feeling that it's been done way too many times!
