Olympic Gymnastics!

I watched some rhythmic gymnastics yesterday morning. There was only one competitor from the U.S., and I believe that she was there as the continental representative. I think they aren't giving this much coverage because there isn't much U.S. involvement. It seems to me I've seen much more coverage of rhythmic gymnastics in the past--I wish they did put it on in prime time.

The synchronized swimming was great fun to watch. Russia took the team gold medal again.

I looked at some of the pictures of the rhythmic gymnastics - it looks beautiful. Especially the team competitions. I did have a very small taste of it when I took gymnastics at a camp one summer. We did have a couple of classes of it - I think it was just to give us an introduction to the sport. The focus though was on the "typical gymnastics.

Thanks. I was wondering what all the chatter was about. It obviously takes lots of skill and inate talent, but it's not at all attractive or charming to me. I'll stick with the typical gymnastics.
