I loved Gore Vidal. He had something to say. Was good at irritating William F. Buckley and Norman Mailer. Intelligencia, where have they gone?

My favorite read by him was Burr. I essentially agreed with him on most things.
I thought this would be an active thread for at least a week.

Yes. Just a few days ago. I think he was 85.

Lincoln and started but never finished
1876. Never picked up
Myra Breckinridge, though now I think I will. He was a hoot on the talk show circuit. Jackie Onassis' somewhat cousin. A brilliant guy.
