Hi all,

I have a laptop, the problem is with the internal circuit. The power doesn't pass and therefore it doesn't start, isn't there a problem with motherboard? Where can i get it serviced and how much cost?

Thanks and Regards,
Duncan

@Duncan Jones,
Certain brands of HP laptops have a problem where the power jack connection to the motherboard fails so you can't recharge the battery. If this is your problem your options are very limited. You can try to repair it with mixed results, you can buy a new laptop or you can rig up something to charge it through the expansion port. Does this sound like your issue?

@engineer,
Motherboard problems tend to be very expensive. In fact they tend to cost far more then the computer's worth. It'd be best just to simply buy a new laptop for what the cost of the repair of the laptop. Have someone remove the harddrive and slave it to another computer and remove whatever files you need saving.

Also for further reference: If you have a computer problem, it would be helpful for anyone trying to answer if you gave them the make and model of the computer in question. With software issues, the computer's operating system would be helpful to know as well.
