I did this optional rib safari in Norway in 2011 where 13 billion cubic feet of water pass through this area four times a day. One can see whirlpools all over, and the water level can be higher at different locations. Our experience was more thrilling because we saw many whirlpools and changing water levels.
My dad grew up on an island (Borøya) just off the coast of Norway he and his brothers built a small narrow bridge so they could walk to school on the mainland.
