I saw this film this past weekend: Directed by Errol Morris, it centers on Robert McNamara and his tenure as Sec'y of Defense under Kennedy and Johnson. Focuses on the Vietnam War, of course, but also covers his life before that. And what a life he had!
I highly recommend this film for anyone who lived through that period and anyone who wants to know more about it. As well as the fire bombing of Japan during WWII, the Cuban Missile Crisis, and what the powers-that-be thought was really happening in Vietnam.
Finding any parallels between then and now, of course, is strictly up to the viewer!
Thanks D'art. I'll definitely see this one when it opens here.
