The term 'saltation' is a catchall meaning that humans arrived from somewhere else and the overwhelming odds are that the somewhere else involved our own ancient solar system and not some distant star system light years away.

That of course does not help evolution, which would be as impossible anywhere else as it is here. All talking about saltations really does is kick the can a few blocks down the road regarding evoloserism/design issues, but it DOES explain what we find in our fossil record, i.e. the sudden appearances and stasis.

"saltation" has many definitions
In geology it means the skipping of stones on stream bottoms so that there is no continuing trace or "sole mark"
In de Vries evolution it means that there were huge jumps in evolution without any messure in the genetic record.

Best you use your words a little more wisely.
Saltation just means that something is apparently "skipped over"
