Yeah i know it was Wooden's team and he started it all, but I like the Big Redhead more. Especially now with his AMAZING commentary! THROW IT DOWN BIG MAN! THROW IT DOWN!
Seriously? God, I can't stand Walton calling games. I'm a Tolbert fan, myself.
Ok, a joke along these lines, if you don't mind:
What were the redneck's last words?
"Hey y'all, watch this!"
Don Bradman's cricket record will never be bettered.
52 tests, 80 innings, 6996 runs, AVERAGE 99.94!

I like Tolbert too, but Walton is superior.
walton is compensating on the mic for the stutter he had as a player.
I can't stand to listen to Walton. I refuse to watch him anymore, but I recall his style as: "That was a TERRIBLE pass! What was he THINKING when he made that pass?!?!"
Give it a rest, Bill. We can't all be perfect.
I especially like the over reactions..."What was Tony Parker thinking with that pass? That could be the worst pass in Spurs history!" or "Keon Clark for MVP!". That after a 10 point, 10 rebound effort off the bench...WALTON IS GREAT!
I will admit that, back when we had league pass, I'd sometimes tune into Clippers games just to hear Walton say things like, "Olowokandi is DOMINATING the paint! He's an UNSTOPPABLE FORCE!"
Question: Steven A. Smith. Love him or hate him?
I love him...He rotates 2 or 3 words...horrendous, atrocious, ludicrous.
Bothered me at first, now he's my favorite talking head. He cracks me up. So does that booster seat he's always sitting on.
He used to do work on Best Damn Sports Show Period. Now he is a basketball analyst on ESPN.
Re Walton: A few years ago, the NY Times Magazine profiled him. It was a fairly benign piece, but it was clear that the blowhard you guys know and love on TV is just like that in the rest of his life. His sons seemed to enjoy laughing at him behind his back. Can't imagine surviving dad without doing that!
Luke is gonna become a good NBA player...He passes the ball like a guard

okay, that guy.
i always think of him as "charles barkley lite", less filling than your regular barkley.

I'll go with that.
The St. George Rugby League team's 11 straight premiership wins from 1956 to 1966. Hard to imagine any team in any code of any sport ever doing something like that again.
greg maddux' record of 17 striaght years with at least 15 wins will stand forever...
read an article in today's NYT sports section about unbreakable records.
made me think of this old thread.
can't find the article online... if i do i'll add it here...
