Oohh, I'm tired and a little grumpy ... not that I'm overly lonely, just want someone to hold for when it's cold ... anyway, go to the coffeeshop and from there direction work. Wanna drop off my clothes at the drycleaners, realise I dont have enough money (you have to pay cash) and first have to go back to the ATM. Return, move on to the bakery for my daily Poppyseed kifli's etc; woman warns better not to buy the poppyseed kifli's, they're not fresh. Well, thats nice, but dammit, I need those, what now? Arrive at work, open my room, hang up my coat, the bloody map falls off the wall. Pin it back up, sit down at my computer, it's already on (somebody must have turned it on to use the printer), I just need to ctrl+alt+del to enter Windows now ... hm, computer doesn't respond to the keyboard. Check whether it's plugged in ok, restart computer, keyboard still doesnt work.
Bugger.

My furbaby still has worms. And she passed some this morning. This sucks.
Don't you hate that! Someone came in, messed with your computer and then left it. And of course no one will fess up about it. That's when you want to line everybody up and smack 'em!

Nimh I am feelin' ya this morning. Had to be to work by 6 woke up at 551 stumbled in here and my comp. was on and a big old web page of car parts was on there. One of the guys must have been fishin around. STAY AWAY FROM MY COMPUTER!! Ahhhh, much better.

Well, it can be more embarassing/funny... the other week, we had a launch, in a nearby country's capital. In a venerable institute promoting the language and culture of one of the main European countries. I asked for net access, they said they couldnt hook up my computer but they'd give me a laptop of theirs. I used it.
You know how when you start typing in an address in the Internet Explorer address bar, if Autocomplete is switched on, a list of URLs pops up that were used before, starting with the same letters as you're typing in now? OK, so I typed in,
www.google.com/ - and a list pops up - and the first two are google.com/sex-videos and google.com/porn-now (or the like).
Aaa-hemm. Oops!

Its snowing again. Mind you, its all pretty and white, but still - snowing again. Every time I think spring has arrived, with mild weather and sun and people outside, then two days later its snowing again.
Worse - its too warm for an actual sheet of snow to remain. Not warm enough to turn the snow into sleet thats melted before it even hits the ground; no, it does stay there in a thick layer, just it melts then from the bottom up, so when you step onto the snow you sink into an inch of water underneath. Slush, and zigzag your way across the parking lot. Like in some fuc king Soviet movie, except its not in black and white.
Still snowing ...
Well I guess in Holland it would be raining, which is arguably worse ...
but I'm so done with winter now <nods>.
My car has a gas leak in the return line and I'm waiting on parts. Today I look over at a light and the guy next to me is hanging a smoke out the window... I grit my teeth.

My G&GYT today was more middle-of-the-night sozlet barfing... sigh. Happened at about 2 AM, then I laid down on the floor next to her bed so I'd know if anything happened and could NOT get to sleep, laid there for a good 4 hours without sleeping before I decided that if she'd gone this long, she'd probably be fine, went back to our bed and finally slept for ~3 hours.
But she seems to be perkier this morning, so could be much worse, pretty good as these things go so far.
Like I said, a return line leak in the 22-year old emissions systems. It's intermittent and I'm waiting on a part.
I took her out for a spin at lunch and almost got T-boned at Costco. Twice in the same spot this has happened. Who "designs" parking lots these days anyway?
Parking lots are completely evil!!! The only severe accident I've been in was in a parking lot, t-boned. The insurance guys were like yeah, that's been highlighted as a really dangerous area and there have been a ton of accidents there but ya know what can we do.
Grr. Evidently even if the parking lot has lanes marked out it's still a parking lot and not subject to usual regulations. Soon after my accident it was redesigned and became a lot safer, finally, but too late for my poor old car. (I was uninjured, anyway, and alone.)
Anyway, I absolutely hate driving in big parking lots, avoid it if I can.
