Peter was of Latvian descent ... & (unless he made it up, which wouldn't have suprised me at all!
) there are "name days" which are celebrated according to some Lativan calender.
So every Olga's Day for the six years of our relationship I would be spoiled silly ... meals cooked, special outing, gifts ... wonderful!
E E Cummings was his favourite poet & that particular volume had to be imported from the US. And I was treated to a poetry reading, sitting on a park bench, on a beautiful sunny day. I remember it well.
