@msolga,
Ah MzOlga... he just came home... so happy!

Thank you - he musta heard you. I have been whistling for him the whole day - he came in chittering away and is now devouring the dawg food (that's a treat for him) along with salmon feast ocean bites! Gonna be a spoiled kitty tonight.

Phew... and thank you.

So pleased to read that Mimi trundled up for you too.

((((Olga)))))

So pleased for you!
That's your Easter present. Smile

But we require evidence of black cat's return.
Of the photographic variety.
Just to be reassured he's home safe & sound, you understand? Wink Razz

for the 1st time in 15 years, the city of bahstin has refused to pick up our yard waste.
for environmental reasons, we can no longer put it into large plastic bags.
we can either use large paper "lawn" bags or open trash barrels.
the barrels must be labeled YARD WASTE.

so 14 large plastic bags (one of which had regular trash, i might add) are currently piled up in the front yard, waiting to be dealt with...

@Region Philbis,
Drive them over to Hanover. They'll take them and empty them into their compost bin and return the bags to you.

The town of Hanover doesn't have curbside trash pick ups. Everyone has to drive their trash to the recycling site and sort it amongst a dozen or more huge bins. When accompanying my aunt and dad on their trips to the recyling center, I used to get a kick out of observing how much less people brought in as trash when they had to do it themselves.

The town gets enough back in recyling revenues to pay for the running and maintenance of the recyling center.

I bet, if you called around to any of the mom and pop gardening centers, nurseries or small farms, they'd love to take your bags of leaves off your hands. We have a friend who does yard work on the side and each Autumn I'm always begging him to give me the bags of leaves he collects in other people's yards. I've got quite a compost pile going now because of his contributions and he doesn't have to pay to take them to the dump.

Ouch. Lower back pain.
Two days of it so far.
Not good.
I'm hoping I'm now on the up & up. Fingers crossed, anyway.
And I'd better slow down a bit. That should help.

SPEED UP, in the direction of a good hot tub,
of 1O4 or 1O5 degrees F., for a while.

EITHER that, or speed up in the direction of a talented chiropractor.

Yes, I think so, Deb, followed by a pretty intense few days at work.
I didn't stop running around for about 7 solid days.
And I mean serious running around.
Lesson learned: Slow down, you crazy, frenzied woman!

I am so happy not to be working today! A little more time to rest.

Thanks for your suggestions, David.
In the end I opted for gentle exercises & a heat pack.
Luckily I have a friend (who has suffered far worse back pain than I was experiencing) & she provided the advice & the heat pack.
I am feeling much improved today.
What a relief. Smile

As you're retired, David, you might have to think very hard! Wink
I think your statement:

Slacker that I am! Razz
Little did you know that I was not required to work today!
