hey, dunno if this is any good, but it probably won't hurt to register your stolen car here, if you have the info they want:

That's the WEIRDEST feeling....the wandering around and not finding your car!!!! I do hope it turns up ok.

Me, too!

My grimace is a nasty one. One of my poor little clients (six y.o.) got a needle stick when he and his carer left the building yesterday. I haven't found out quite where (geographically AND bodily) it happened......but it so sucks.

Apparently there is a miniscule risk of infection, but they have to sit around for months not knowing.

That is very nasty, Deb.
How terrible to have to wait so long to find out.
And outside your workplace, too!
You be careful!

MsOlga, I saw that you found my other thread. For those who might view this and not know - the car was found mostly intact within 24 hours!

They hotwired the car, wrecking the ignition wiring.

New grimace - I just got rerouted twice while coming to A2K. I was sent to a mineral make-up website. Twice. The third time I came here.......

I was just rear-ended. I was sitting at a red light, about the third car back, just waiting for the light to change when WHAM.

We pulled over and exchanged information and everything but I think the car is fine. My neck hurt right after it happened and I'm getting some back twinges that I'm keeping an eye on. Hopefully both will fade and it will be a non-issue. But it was upsetting.

Hie thee to an ER.
Get the pain on record ASAP.
Get your version of events to the insurance company with as much detail
as you can recall.

I was wondering about that.

I don't want to overdo it, ya know? It was a shock but ultimately I don't think it was that big of a hit.

Plus I'm concerned that insurance premiums will go up even if it was patently not my fault.

Right now I feel fine.

NO, thankfully. That was my first thought. I'd be much more concerned if she was in the car, too -- if it's just me I can just figure out how I'm doing and go from there.

I think I was mostly shocked.

If you are hit from behind, you are 100% NOT at fault.
First, you want to be sure you are OK. Even if you feel fine now,
there could be something requiring attention. Please, please, please,
have yourself checked out.
Second, there could be problems with the insurance company later on if
you need any treatment unless you get your condition on record now.

Really? OK. That's the kind of thing I need to know, thanks.

I know it's 100% not my fault but don't premiums go up if you are involved in accidents, anyway? I'm not sure.

As a two-time whiplash victim, I would advise you to see a doctor as soon as possible. And call your insurance company. (Insurance will cover the doctor's cost, even if they determine nothing's wrong.)

In both cases, I felt fine right after it happened. But the next day....whew!
