Could someone please help me out?

I'm grimacing furiously here. It's hideously hot & I'm supposed to be working on a job application. (An extremely long shot, but in the absence of anything better .... <sigh>) Anyway, I'm using any excuse (currently A2K) to avoid getting on with it.

I require someone, speaking with great authority, to tell me to get offline NOW & get on with it! Or else I'll be very sorry tomorrow.

Pathetic, aren't I?

Thanks in advance.
You're a brick!

GET OFF LINE IMMEDIATELY AND COMPLETE YOUR JOB APPLICATION MSOLGA!!!

NOW!

DO IT!!!!!

I'M NOT KIDDING!!!

OR YOU'LL GO TO BED WITH NO SUPPER!!!

I'M BACK!

All done! Very Happy

And the temperature's dropped a bit. PHEW! Very Happy

Ya know, it's no fun at all writing a 6 page (pt 11) application for an extremely long shot! (grimace, grimace, grimace!)

I feel rather tortured, really.

... So I'm now on my second glass of Sav Blanc. (A goil's gotta have her rewards!)

Thanks for your stern words Auntie Deb. And for your good wishes, k. (Though I fear they're wasted, really. Oh well ...)

Good for you,mslolga.

And you stand a helluva better chance than if you'd not filled it in.

Best of luck.

I'm in a quandry, indeed on the horns of a dilemma....

can I justify going out and buying a new daily newspaper (remember, the Sunday newspaper is very large and thick and represents a considerable effort in time needed for the perusal thereof and indeed also in porterage) when I at the time of writing have not yet read Saturday's paper properly?

Not losing sight of the fact also that I will have to wash my face and brush my hair before going up to the shop.....

AAaaagh, the agonies of the decision process.

How much will you enjoy the paper?

Thanks, Tarah. (I see you survived the dentist!)

Ah, if only it was a mere form to be filled in. More like a bloody thesis, I tell you!

Another thing to grimace about (while I'm at it!) today was the hottest day in 53 years here. (42 + C something Shocked ) Bushfires all over the state & people choking on smoke (even if, like me, there no where near the fires!) ..... aghhhh, what a day, what weekend!
Took a break & ventured outside this afternoon to discovered that 3/4 of my back lawn had died! Just like that! Eek! Shocked Surprised

I've given your dilemma serious thought, McTag. Yes, go get that paper. You'll only regret if if you don't!

Your wiser counsel has prevailed; the Observer is now purchased and safely garnered in.
Now I have to wrestle with the only remaining problem; do I finish Saturday's first, or start straight away on Sunday's? If the former, I may have to tackle the remnants of Sunday's early on Monday to prevent further newssheet dislocation, leading to further mental torment.

Has anyone ever told you that you worry too much?

Cos if they haven't, I will.

Go fry up a load of fishies and wrap them in the papers. Use the remainder to line the catbox.

Only a fool actually reads a newspaper.

Mrs Hinge's new manager comes back from a remote indigenous community and can't understand why there's all this fuss about their living conditions when 'they live right near the beach...'
