It is interesting, but I can't help but wonder what it would look like in terms of percentage. The countries that have the most genetically modified hectares also look like they have the most farmland.
I kind of wonder if the modified crops are corn or not...
The US grows a lot of corn.

We don't harvest cotton in Canada, for obvious reasons and soybean are grown, but only in S. Ontario I think. Corn is a common crop, I think mainly for food, not fuel. Winter wheat and grains and canola are the big crops where I live.
It surprised me that the map was lacking UK info.
