Besides death, what is your biggest fear?

That is one of the most bizarre things I've ever heard.

Losman is noted for posting quite bizarre things, chai. (And, btw, you're being very kind in using that perticular word instead of, say, inane, silly, stupid etc etc.)

@Lustig Andrei,
Ahh but perhaps the most tempting thing of all is the temptation of defending oneself.

What is to be said of him who resists that temptation?

Well that's just peachy!

And something tells me that insults aren't really your style, why be someone you're not?

@JPLosman0711,
No insults intended. I prefer to engage in civilized dialogues. Or trialogues. Or just a general friendly colloquy. That there will be the occasional diagreement is inevitable, being that we are all individuals with differing ideas, beliefs and opinions.

What I said about your take on drowning wasn't an insult, at least not intentional. I was merely stating what I considered to be an incontrovertible fact, obvious to anyone who stopped to actually think about what you sometimes post. And the "point taken" post was not -- please believe me -- meant as sarcasm. I think your post to which that was a response was well stated and I said so.

@Lustig Andrei,
Well I was pretty sure you meant what you said, you don't seem like the type who bothers to 'stop' for sarcasm.

I too am quite interested in what I believe you attempted to indicate with the first part of your post, although I think limiting it to being 'civilized' is a boundary which one would place in order to limit the possibilities of thinking.

Of course we're all individuals with our own thoughts, but that goes without saying, someone who goes out of their way to say something like that only proves that he is short of something to contribute to the conversation.

I believe you are correct! Their behaviour seems bloody unfair.

@annasui,
Those who still 'seek' for a 'soulmate' are still trying to find someone or something to live their lives for them.

Once in a while, JP, you might take the time to consider what you're posting instead of just coming up with the (seemingly) clever epigram. Ths isn't the first time you've posted nonsense disguised as a clever turn of phrase.

@Lustig Andrei,
Do you only the ability to 'point out' what others are doing?

Do you have nothing to contribute?

You do, afterall, exist independently of each one else whom is on the forum. Why then, should all your posts be in reply or a rebuttal of that-which has been previously stated?

Don't you have thoughts of your own accord?

Damn it, Lustig Andrew. Do you have nothing better to do than incite a riot? Don't shout fire in a crowded theater and bring beer next time you visit.

@Lustig Andrei,
By the way, you speak of 'not making sense' as if this text on your screen could possibly have any meaning. As if it wasn't YOU who gives meaning to these words!

But if you are the one who gives meaning then why make them out to mean something which does not 'make sense'? You see what's happening here? You're just as self-destructive as the rest. You've only found a way to get others to agree with your destructiveness.

Nothing special.

Lemme know when you finally figure out how many angels can dance on the head of a pin, okay? And, btw, solypsism is soooo self-centered. Mr. Green

@Lustig Andrei,
'Solypsism' cannot be fixed conceptually so therefore it has been rendered incorrect or irrelevant, and plus the jokes etc. etc.

But you can certainly 'see' just how such a theory would come about(even if you don't want to admit it).

However, simply because something cannot be fixed conceptually doesn't make it un-true, you'll notice that much of the conceptual-world is false, being able to prove something is only valuable in as much as you can 'show' to someone else.

I do know exactly what you meant by your first sentence, if you're suggesting that I simply 'go along' with common definition you can save your breath.
