There's no reason whatever to suppose that a pair of teenagers couldn't plan and carry out a murder/suicide pact. We live in an emotionally disturbed culture.

We had an even more emotionally disturbed culture when I was in school, cold war, LSD, all those other drugs, race riots, assassinations, but not one case of high school planned massacres, or mass adult suicides.

It doesn't take much planning to be a copy cat.

You're right, after Columbine there was a rash of school massacres. Could be copycat, or it could be the same kind of brain washing, with the same influence by the same sick adult that planned the first one.
