Tai Chi
happy birthday sis, not gonna give away your age, but i will say it's double digits (literally)
@djjd62,
Happy Birthday George Takei!
Um . . . ain't this international smoke dope day?
Tai and family,
I'm flying you some Mogodor cake, a recipe from Doris Greenspan's book, Paris Sweets, including the link to a blog called Paris Sweets in Seattle where the blogger gave a try at making it. This is one I think would be impossible for me to make myself. Or if I could make it, it wouldn't look like this.. at all.
Happy birthday, Tai!
Now I remember we both had April birthdays!
@Setanta,
Yeah but many of its observers tend to forget...
Actually, I think it's more like international if you smoke dope, you just smoke more of it day
Oh. I don't know you, but it's your thread Tai, so... happy birthday!
@djjd62,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Tai Chi
Many happy returns of the Day.
David
Ah, Tai Chi, you are one talented lady and deserve the happiest birthday ever.
I remember your cobblestone schoolhouse as well.

Happy Birthday, Tai.
Enjoy your day, and may your birthday wish come true.
Know what I wish? I wish you were around more.

Ha! My sis shares his b'day, too...we never let her forget it
.
HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAI CHI!!!
@djjd62,
Bon anniversaire Tai Chi!
Aw shucks, thank you everyone. I'm not sure what is more surprising -- that I'm on the internet, that I found this thread, or that I'm still alive to celebrate my birthday.
I got my birthday wish, Roberta -- thanks to Mr. Fix-it's cool head and excellent driving skills I'm still here to enjoy my birthday. It was a choice between a rock face and an oncoming semi but somehow he managed to miss both. To say that we did not expect the kind of weather we got this morning, driving south to spend a couple of days visiting with our sons (one of whom also has a birthday soon) is an understatement. Otherwise -- we would not have ditched the snow tires and winter blades. Can you tell I'm still a bit shaky? If I was in fact a smoker, that would be reason enough to indulge in some sort of relaxant! (Meanwhile here in the south people are wearing flip flops and going coatless...)
So, again, thanks everyone. I'm thrilled to accept your good wishes and virtual goodies (and now I'm going to have a look around after far too long).
@Tai Chi,
Hugs to both of youse, Tai and Mister. Thank you for having that skill, Mr. Tai.
I see I didn't give that link re the paris sweets in seattle website, duh.
Not that it matters in the scheme of things, oy.
But for distraction, here it is:

And here's a link to the primo Doris Greenspan's book, Paris Sweets.

Tai Chi AND Fenway Park. And I think it is safe to say Fenway is older. Happy Birthday, Tai and Fen.
