I often times find myself watching a black comedian and being very offended by the way he/she portrays white people, often times square, nerdy, and racist. We have almost all seen or heard the stereotypical white voice...."Hi Guys!". So I was curious to see if I'm the only one that has noticed this......Oh yeah, if you haven't ever seen this, watch "Undercover Brother".
I have seen many black comedians. I enjoy the good ones, and dislike the poor ones. I have no problem with black comics portraying white people. And no, I have never seen "Undercover Brother".
Yes, there is a double standard with racism. So long as you're a minority, you can say whatever you want about whoever you want. And even get the majority to be ashamed of having racist remarks directed towards them.

so long as you're a -majority- minority.
We have been fed the garbage that minorities, in particular blacks, can not be racist.
I wouldn't say that we've actually been fed such a notion. It's an idea that's been bandied about, true, but that doesn't make it so.

Of course it is not true. We have Al Sharpton a super racist among other things running for the democratic candidacy for president. Could a white person with his record get away with that? Not a chance in hell. He would be ripped apart by the media.

I think the issue of his racism would come up more if he had an actual shot of winning.
Yeah, there is... rednecks get a lot of crap too, and they aren't protected by PC even though they technically are a minority class-wise.
No, Sharpton has no chance of winning, and he certainly knows that. What he wants is some political clout in pushing his platform.

au, you are living proof that that is not true.
Craven
And you as usual are full of $hit.

You have your polite-intellectual day today, au?
Politeness is given to him who deserves it.
au,
I guess this that case the French, Arabs and blacks all don't deserve it by your estimation. No, not full of it at all, have you forgotten who you profess to hate today? You've stated your hatreds several times on these boards. I'm actually suprised that you'd even try to deny it at all. <shrugs>
Craven,
And your aviator.
I think that it is true. And that is why I love Barber Shop. They candidly talk about certain taboo subjects.
