Tonight I watched the moon-rise,
wishing you were there with me.
Tonight I watched myself die
knowing that we could never be.
Clouds streamed across the sky,
echoing the new-come moon
and failing to run.
I saw your face
floating through the sky,
Venus your left eye
and Mars your right.
Orion's bow tilted back
and shot a star through the left eye.
Destroying the love
empowering belligerence.
The fields of snow glowed,
reflecting harsh moonlight,
and the caustic red eye of war.
The moon finally rose
and destroyed the unwelcome guest
of your taunting face.
I lay upon the snow
and slowly died.
Very nice, BenevolentHell. Keep'em coming!
A very deep and thought rendering piece.
Most enjoyed.
