Anybody want to give me a little info on rube goldberg machines? They are soooooooooo cool!
GO GOOGLING
Welcome to A2K, giantpiazza31!
Type the words Rube Goldberg machines into the Google Search Engine. There should be a multitude of sites with info. Good luck!
By the by - Did you notice that the yellow typeface you used was nearly illegible?
Yes, please change that color. It reminds me of pee in snow.
By the way, what is a Rube Goldberg machine.
(Spare me the effort of having to search the internet for the information.)
IF THIS ISN'T IT, THEN I DON'T KNOW . . .
If this isn't it, then I don't know what to do.
Yes, I do: Change it in my hard drive and resubmit it to "Charli's Place." TOMORROW!!![/color]
A Rube Goldberg machine is a big convoluted contraption with wheels and pulleys and levers and odd things, like a candle burning through a rope and a bowling ball rolling down an incline, to accomplish a simple task, like making a piece of toast.
Rube Goldberg was a cartoonist who drew the machines, in about the thirties. They were syndicated in newspapers all over the country, and were very popular for decades.
Now go search the internet and find some pictures. They're worth far more than these few words.
I seem to be missing something. Did giantpiazza2 ask anything about anyone named Goldberg??
Well, call me, if you need to.
No, giantpizza seems to know. But Individual did.
We're just like Google.
Only slower.
(Any web search that involves giant pizza, a phoenix, and many trained hamsters is in and of itself, a Rube Goldberg machine.)
Aha, eek, I didn't see the yellow type until now. (I have funny eyes.) No wonder I was confused!
giantpizza, come back and convince us you've learned not to use yellow type!
I can't even read the yellow type.
Hey, ya'll, just highlight the yellow type and read it plain as day. Sheesh!
Those machines are so funny! Although, a little bit unnecessary.
You have to have seen it was there at all to know there is something to highlight, heh.
Osso, if you go to your profile and change your board style to black (which is hard on the eyes), you will be able to see the highlighted yellow print, but strain to read everything else, especially dark blue.
Colorbook, thanks, but I hate the black board style. Aside from being ugly to me in my designer mode, it's actually harder for me to read.
A2k's default style is very likeable to me..... I can usually see everything on a2k just fine. My eyes do detect yellow, just a tad less than most people's eyes. I don't really care about missing one yellow post (and besides, once somebody mentioned it, I could see it, I just missed it - it looked like a blank post), I was just amused that I was going on about who asked about Rube Goldberg earlier in the thread.
