Does anyone remember what their high score was in tetris for the game boy? I just got mine (102,272)

I don't remember, but I'm sure it was much, much lower. I had to play on the keyboard, cuz joysticks were way expensive. My release was one of the few programs that didn't do well after y2k, and that was regrettable. It was a good game.

I dont think Ive played it other than in the arcade...and dont think without a kewl joystick or something it would be as much fun on the computer but...it could be interesting to try anyway.

It was interesting all right. I think the 'j' key would move things left, the 'l' would move right, and 'k' would make them rotate them. Hit the space bar to drop straight down. Those were the three best polished keys on the original Tandy 1000 TX.

Gotta do it with a joystick. Line it up, and whammo, down it goes. That's the fun part. (She says, having last played it maybe 15 years ago...)

Yeah, that's it! The arrow keys.

I heard from Steissd a few weeks ago, btw. He's not working in his field, but he did find something over there. I happen to know that a job is a very nice thing to have.

I used to play it on my gameboy, starting out on level 1, then going up. Of course you could score higher points starting at level 9, but I was loser that way! But my hi score was roughly 125K, give or take some.

Gotta find that grey thingy, I know I still have it!

Uh-oh.

I already have no time.

I SO have no time to play Tetris. (Played a game, fun, but I did the same thing several times where, when I wanted to rotate it the other direction, I hit the down arrow, and down it plopped at the wrong angle and in the wrong place. Grr. 710.)

i used to play the windows ent pack version a lot -- i would force myself to stop when it felt like carpal tunnel was creeping in Shocked

haven't a clue how i got a negative score...
but i do know that i played better if i had some music cranking Smile
