then disappeared,
This man who lived a thousand years,
This person who had waved goodbye,
This entity who felt me cry,
And tried to reassure me.
Hello, she said, and are you there?
I have looked just everywhere,
No longer.
But in my mind, and heart and soul,
I'll know the things that I've been told.
I'll keep you in my memories,
Where things are still inviolate,
Not right, nor wrong, sir.
Letty .... good poem. Sad, mysterious and ethereal.
I said a good hello
she said an even better goodbye.
thanks, pieman and dys.
It's one of the things that I do when I'm looking. Dys, of course, is as mysterious as Letty.
Finishing Dys' poem for him:
I said a good hello,
She said an even better goodbye,
The lacrymose is missing,
The night breathes a limpid sigh,
No one hears but me.
No one fears but I.
Very interesting. Enjoyable read. Maggie
Hey, cusick. That's quite a compliment coming from another poet. Thank you.
