xbox Battlefield 3

My son has just got Battlefield 3 for Xbox 360. He clicks on multiplayer and it comes up with connection to EA on line was lost. Anyone got any ideas? I have researched on line and EA does seem to have a problem with this, no solution though. But all his friends nearby can access it. Any help would be appreciated.

Guess no one knows the answer to this one! ho hum still struggling with it! Gonna have to ring EA games and complain!
