Hi:
Does there exist any CPU is today's world that possesses ALL the following specs?:
1. Clock-frequency at or higher than 1,000 THz
2. Single core
3. Limited to only 1 instruction per cycle
In theory, what is the maximum clock rate possible if the cooling system is sufficient? Higher frequencies generate more heat, and thus require more intense cooling.
Thanks,
GX
Do you actually know what a Terahertz is? And in what part of the EM spectrum 1000 THz is located?
@DrewDad,
Well, you'd think that someone interested in such a technical subject would take the trouble to get the terminology right, but, hey, this is the Web.
@Green Xenon,
Optical switching? Or Electrical?
Nothing currently exists in the THZ range. Are you sure you typed that correctly?
Aren't you the same guy that asks all those weird biology/physiology questions?

He's an "attention troll". There used to be one on the Usenet group alt.engineering.electrical - the basic procedure is to join a group where there is some kind of scientific or technical specialisation and concoct questions which don't make any sense to anyone who knows about the subject. They get their gratification from seeing all the people replying like we have so far.
