What is the equivalent of Intel HD Graphics 3000 to Nvidia and AMD graphics?

I believe they are the Nvidia Geforce GT 540M and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870. I could be wrong. It was a quick look up refrence.

I didn't actually check the bench tests, but typically intel have faster chips at higher costs. The amd chips tend to be cheaper but don't perform as well. But performance tends to only be slightly less. This isn't a fact, it is a general observation. There are cases where the amd chips out perform their intel counterparts.
