FACEBOOK PECULIARITIES

I have found just in the past week that it is impossible to play a video either posted on facebook from a friend or my own which I have posted for people.
It keeps asking me to 'get flashdrive update'. I click on that, nothing happens. My flashdrive was upgraded two weeks ago and is regularly with reminders on the desk top and I activate this when reminded to do so. This is weird. Apparently I'm not the only one with this problem. Facebook seems to have 'pulled a swifty' with someone..... Not happy Jan.
