Pagemaker is a good program, but you have to learn it first. I think it now included templates you can use to start a new publications. Good luck!

skuamb,

Do you want ti to manage the mailing list as well?

I ask because any html editor can do the newsletter (personally I'd just use a text editor like notepad).

But the management of the mailing list is the real work.

If you want people to be able to sign up online you'll probably want an online database taht stores the subscription information and mails it out from the server.

What kind of volume are you talking about? Some can be expensive, but if you have a small amount of expected users I can recommend free solutions.

i can do the newsletter fine (writing on notepad, or on html), what i'm talking about is the managment of the mailing list, as craven said.

yea, i want it online and i'm talking about 200 personas!

i found 1 here cuts and pastes script.

but that one, doesn't give the user much"options". i want something better but still free, if thats not asking too much.

Bravenet has a free option, but the mlimit may be 200 users or even 150.

Be careful of remotely hosted lists, I personally wouldn't use one except for a newsletter that I absolutely don't care about.

I recommend the following free software (if you can install it).

This happens to be an area in which I think commercial scripts far outshine the open source ones but here they are:

EZS Mailing list /newsletter system - Uses flat files instead of a database.

php multiple newsletter

Jax Newsletter

Well try the above free ones. If they aren't good enough I can look for others.

In that case I suggest a remotely hosted solution like bravenet.

I can't do free custom work right now. I'm overloaded.
