maria continues to play representing Russia. She has enjoyed our climate where she can play all year around, she can improve her game with the best coaching in the world and she has been able to amass a small fortune due to the opportunities in the USA. It is her right to play for whoever she wants, so maria how about showing some appreciation for everything you are enjoying in the US.
@vermeyenc,
I wonder if she is related to Maria Sharapova?
@vermeyenc,
Do you really want her playing for the US? She is a complete head case committing double faults and unforced errors on key points,
screams out during points in a blatant attempt to distract her opponents and routinely
looks to the stands for illegal coaching. With women's tennis so fractured right now, she's managed to keep a relatively high ranking but Russia could do without her and I don't see why the US would want her.
