Need to know name of old video game!

Help me!! I used to play an old arcade game back in the late 70s or early 80s where you were a guy in a classroom, and ran around the room trying to avoid getting in trouble with the teacher. The only way you could take a break from her chasing you was to knock people out of their seats by 'hip-checking' them onto the floor and out of their desks. You would then take their place at their desk. After you had knocked everyone out of their seats, you ran out of the room, and into another room, where you did it all over again.
Does anyone else remember this game, or am I nuts?
Thanks in advance for your help! Very Happy

I don't think that was a game. I think that was me and my actual school.

I don't know what game that might have been. It sounds way too sophisticated for the '70's- maybe the mid-'80's?

I suppose it could have been mid-80s. I just remember playing it in an arcade right next to the racing game with the car where you jumped on other racers - 'Bump & Go' or 'Jump & Go,' something like that.

Christmas of 2002 my brother gave me a CD of emulated arcade games of dubious legality. I remember that the game you described was among them but I can't remember the name... and I uninstalled them because the kids were wasting too much time...

but www.mame.net, I think... is where my brother found 'em...

I HAVE FOUND IT! Thanks to the www.mame.net address, I was able to link to another page where I found three different names for the game, but all the same game: 'High School Graffiti Mikie,' 'Mikie,' and the Japanese version, 'Shinnyuushain Tooru-kun.'
THIS IS AWESOME! I am so excited! Now, if only I can find a way to play it either in person, or preferably, on my computer.
Anyone have any ideas??

MAME = Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator.

Now, mind you, I didn't have to do this because my brother burned it all on a disk for me... and this was over a year ago...

But I think that there is a (PC) program on the site, and the authentic, copyright-violated, EPROMS from the actual machines...

What does the website say?

The website has the following categories of downloads:

Binary archives
Source code archives
Win32 compile utilities
DOS compile utilities
Utilities

I don't know much about this, like I said, but under Binary archives there's a file of:

mame078b_dos_i686.zip - DOS version (Pentium Pro optimized) of MAME 0.78.

Does that sound like the right file?

MinGW-2.0.0-3.exe 12525 kB MinGW 2.0.0 compile environment for use in Windows. Execute the file to install MinGW.

mingw-over.zip 549 kB Other files needed to compile MAME in the MinGW compile environment. Uncompress this over the MinGW directory.

gcc-3.2.2-20030208-1.tar.gz 7148 kB GCC 3.2.2, required for MAME 0.66 and newer. Uncompress this over the MinGW directory.

dx70_mgw.zip 240 kB DirectX 7.0 headers, required for MAME 0.68 and newer. Uncompress this over the MinGW directory, after mingw-over.zip. Add c:\mingw\bin to your PATH. Compile the Win32 version by typing make.

I have now downloaded the following:

mame078b_dos_i686 and

MinGW-2.0.0-3.exe

I tried extracting the mame078...file, but without luck. Should I try the MinGW...file? It was listed under Win32...
