The look in your eyes.
You know what I'm thinking.
The sadness and hurt

Because of your drinking.
I hold myself together to stop me from shaking.
You must have knowing my heart was breaking.

Treating my Mother, as a fool.
You think I don't remember.
To hurt a lady so warm and tender.

She is the one in my heart, forever.
She was so nice and also clever.
She should have sent you down the river.

She was the one with the good heart.
I cried my eyes out, thinking of the day.
We would part.

She was the one who loved my brother and I.
She taught us manners and not to lie.
So I ask you god.

Take care of my Mother.
For me there is no other.
Love from me and my brother.

liked this poem, you put some strong feelings into it. Couple of errors, but can be fixed.

Joe.....you write from the heart and it shows. I loved this one also.

All I know is you must be a very loving person.

God bless you.
