Too often I cannot open an Attachment because I get a message that there is no program associated with the attachment. The message suggests I go to the Folder Options in the Control Panel ,yet I do not see what I need to adjust.
Please HELP !!
Thanks

@agro,
The operating system determines the appropriate program to run by examining the file extension.

.jpg files are opened with an image viewer, for example, and .doc files are opened with MS Word or similar program.

Chances are, you don't have the right program installed to open the attachment. Alternately, the name of the attachment could be incorrect.

@DrewDad,
On occasion I get a pop up box that allows to to select a program to try to open the attachment, but, again, this box too seldom appears to allow me to select Adobe, etc

@agro,
If it's an Adobe PDF document, then make sure it has the .pdf extension.

Next step would be to reinstall Adobe Reader.

I would suggest using http://Ninite.com, as it simplifies things and does not attempt to install the Google toolbar.
