Posner has done nothing lately, judging by a quick search on news.google.com. I'm surprised that he's the first judge joefromchicago thinks of when he hears the keywords "political hacks who rank doorbells for the local political powers and were rewarded with a judicial appointment. Posner certainly isn't shy about his politics, but he's not a hack by any stretch of the definition.
