Whoof! my toolbar loses its information

I admit I use an oldie safari - Leopard.

I have quite a nice accumulation of bookmarks, in categories.

Every so often, one of them goes whoof, something about my having my finger on the button too long and perhaps drawing down, and I lose the whole category.

I've never found a way to get that back, and that seems dumb to me, that it can't be refigured.

The good news is that is is usually a2k that goes whoof and I can get it back.
Travel, on the other hand, would annoy me to lose.
