ICE declined to say who put Israel on the list or when Israel was put there. However, in her written statement, ICE spokeswoman Christensen said the “specially designated country” list had been created "at least" seven years ago--which would have been during the presidency of George W. Bush--and that ICE was not responsible for creating it.

True but when this final list was proposed in March 2008 Israel was not on the list but North Korea was, today that is reversed....

@djjd62,
Israel is more dangerous than North Korea - why does a pint-size country need 400+ nuclear weapons to "defend" itself? North Korea has about five.

@Foofie,
Apparently a lot of Jewish liberals in this country would find this surprising.

That's the problem. The people running this country right now very definitely have in mind to get rid of Israel and there's no way in hell American Jews should be supporting the demoKKKrat party at this juncture.

@gungasnake,
I'm a fan of Jim Baker (Bush I Sec State), who observed after a visit to Israel "**** the Jews, they don't vote for us anyway". And they don't.

@High Seas,
Israel is the best and brightest hope, i.e. hope that owning their own country will sooner or later cure the Jewish people of their national weakness for left-wing politics and causes. I believe it will work sooner or later and the way things are going now, most likely sooner.

@gungasnake,
That's absurd - North Korea's neighbors, China and Russia, aren't exactly shrinking violets, and have thousands of nuclear weapons between them. Yet only 5 or 6 nukes are enough to defend North Korea - and if Libya had continued with their nuclear program they would have been enough for them too.

In the case of North Korea yeah, that's enough to secure their not being molested by rational people and, yeah, between SlicKKK KKKlintler and Bork Obunga with Kosovo and Libya, demoKKKrats and the NWO crowd have to have pretty much convinced a lot of people that they need nuclear weaponry.

But Israel's problem does not involve rational people... That's the difference.

@gungasnake,
From a US taxpayers' standpoint the fact is that the state of Israel has cost us upwards of $2 trillion in direct and indirect aid, bond interest exemptions, soft credits, etc, not counting the cost of wars. If these people can't live on whatever land they got after 2,000 years of wandering then God is calling them home.

@High Seas,
There weren't any Jews dying in the 40s because they couldn't get out of Nazi-controlled territories; they were dying because they couldn't get INTO other countries and some of that was prejudice and much of it was the continuing economic depression. THAT is the reason for the Jewish state.

As to costs, Jews were heavily involved in nuclear weaponry early on both here and in Israel and nuclear weapons are the main thing which prevented a second chapter of WW-II on some 3500-mile front against the Soviet Union. THAT would have cost a whole lot more than 2 trillion in today's money.

This is the slammite world:

http://zioneocon.blogspot.com/isr-world.gif

I.e. the gigantic swath of territory you see between the wall of China and the West coast of Africa and forty degrees or so of latitude up and down. Israel is a tiny sliver of land which you have to know exactly where to look for on maps to even find and the world has heard this unbelievable crybaby act from ******* slammites for the last sixty years over the tiny sliver.

I mean, what's wrong with the picture?

Having 400 nuclear weapons, if that is correct, means nothing, unless the country has "the stomach" to use them. However, if they are ever used, I believe the reason historians might explain, afterwards, is that the Jews just got tired of being "expendable" by just about everyone else. In effect, a non-Jew should take some "cause and effect" responsibility for the two millenia of "tacit approval" regarding anti-Semitism. Perhaps, monotheism in its other forms should take some responsibility. Mind you, the only two countries that had a population of Jews that "were assimilated" was China and India, both non-monotheistic countries. And, that was because neither country had the faintest reason to be anti-Semitic to its Jewish population.

But, I think it is hilarious that the current administration might be pulling away from Israel. One might have to be Jewish to understand the irony (or the ingratitude the irony represents).
