What are interesting an appropriate ways to introduce human characters in a funny animal comic book?

My IDEA is a A LITTLE MORE COMPLEX TRHEN SOMETHING A SIX-YEAR OLD COME COME UP WITH.

I got the idea from Street Fighter, Catillac Cats and the movie the Warriors. I doubt a six-year old would know what any of that stuff is.

Most 6 year olds are probably better read. Have you heard of books?
