I am working on a multicultural funny animal comic book for kids about streetfighting cats and dogs. How can I introduce human characters in a world populated with humanized cats and dogs? Besides having humans exist in and hail from an alternate dimension/universe or have them exist on another planet how else can I introduce human characters into these comics? I was thinking of introducing them in dream sequences. Please help.

@JGoldman10,
you could introduce the idea that the pets think that they rule the cities and such, but are oblivious to the fact that they are infact inferior to humans. you could also make the link that the humans are a 'policing' force, and include the moral of the comic is that police/humans run **** over cats+dogs/streetfighters.

but you would have to contextualize more for me to give a better answer

@hemingway,
The cats and dogs aren't pets- they are humanoid characters. Like the kind you see in a typical cartoon on TV or in the comics or in the movies.

They live in cat-and-dog towns and cities and communities.

I was thinking it might be interesting if some humans discovered the universe where these cats and dogs live, and some villains want to go there to try to take control of it.

@JGoldman10,
but thats the standard and typical story line that you see in terrible films that peersonally, i always think are terrible, because its predictable.

something more original i think is required, ill think on it.

@hemingway,
I was thinking either some funny animal cat or dog scientist discovers an alternate dimension where human beings live, or some human scientist discovers the dimension where the funny animal cats and dogs live, and some evil human mad scinetist enters the dimension where thiese cats and dogs live and causes havoc.

@JGoldman10,
ok, go down the rout that an animal scientist discovers humans, in the forest or something like that, and they are treated like pets.

or go down the rout that they live on the same planet, but live completely independently of each other, and oblivious to each other. then you could go down the same sort of historical rout of the age of discovery, but you can manipulate it in any way you see fit? i like that idea.

the only thing about a other dimension is that its been done before if you know wot i mean

@hemingway,
The cats and dogs are sentient. The humans are not their pets.

I can think of another way - the cats and dogs somehow make their way into the "real world" via the drawing table where a cartoonist is busy drawing them and creating thier world/universe - but that's probably been done 100s of times.

@JGoldman10,
Cats could relate to humans via barking spider bleaching clinics.

@izzythepush,
What is this fixation you have with bleaching?

@JGoldman10,
I suppose it's just part of the American dream, the way you get everyone else to write your story for you. Do you have any ideas of your own?

@izzythepush,
I am asking for some help - I am not asking people to write it for me.

You never had writers' or creators' block?

@izzythepush,
That is what is good about the Internet - I can go online and ask for help. THAT IS WHAT IT IS THERE FOR, and I have doing so for years.

@JGoldman10,
So when everyone else has done your thinking for it you'll ask someone to do the drawing for you as well then?

@izzythepush,
I could never put my name as author of a publication, that had so much creative imput, from all and sundry, without feeling a fraud. Then again, some people write books, others talk about writing books/comics but never actually do anything.

@izzythepush,
NO - I try to come up with stuff on my own first, THEN I ask for more insight.

@JGoldman10,
I'm not holding my breath waiting for a publication date. What you've come up with is a simple idea a six year old could come up with. A crime fighting cat, everyone else is doing the work for you.

Here's an idea for you, a squirrel who rescues people in danger. Now I've done as much work as you. All I have to do now is ask A2K to decide his name, how humans interract with his world, the sort of rescuing he does, sidekicks, organisation and family background.

The only problem to all this, is this tiny bit of work I've done is more imaginative than yours, so no doubt you'll nick it

@izzythepush,
STOP TROLLING. I have the inner workings and details as to how this cat- and dog- world would work. I AM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO FIT HUMANS INTO IT.
