Obviously that sort of rationing of health care would be abhorrent and improper. Frankly, I cannot make out if the "death panel" thing is really in Obama Healthcare or not, but the way things have been with poor people being unable to afford any healthcare but emergency room visits is unacceptable and has to end. Anyone who wants to abandon Obama's plan has to offer a concrete alternative universal healthcare plan or else they should be quiet.

just so long as you understand that we need to deeply ration care...up to 40% of our health dollars are wasted and that needs to stop.

Didn't the republican's offer up a concrete plan, but Reid would't let it go to the floor for a vote?
I think he used his catch phrase 'dead on arrival' or some other silly tough guy saying.

Obama's plan is built on an unstable foundation and no concrete was used, nobody should remain quiet.

like having a rickety 1995 chevy conversion van which gets 10 MPH and does almost nothing well....aka needs to be junked.....and deciding to spend $1,000 to put a new bed in it. wasteful spending by a person who is in la-la land re what the problems are.

@hawkeye10,
Wasting tax dollars, wherever it occurs, is bad and does need to stop, but it doesn't even register on the scale compared to poor people being unable to afford medicine.

@Brandon9000,
If a few poor people have to die in order for Hawk to get a reduction in his taxes , GREAT. We could do with fewer unproductive serfs any way.

as a Socialist I have no problem with taxes...I do however have a problem with a healthcare system that does not do a good job of sustaining health, is wildly inefficient, and that has such a outrageous bottom line that it is almost singlehandedly bankrupting America. spending more on poor people's health does not even begin to fix the problem.

@hawkeye10,
I rarely agree with you on anything, but on the waste in ObamaCare, I agree. There could have been many ways to save cost, but Obama failed to include those savings in his health plan.

ObamaCare must be de-funded, removed, torn apart, shredded, killed with fire and scrubbed from the history books.

A raft of former Democratic proponents are so eager to distance
themselves from ObamaCare that they are looking for a scapegoat

we cant economize our way to success because it has been too broken for too long, we need to rip out the current system and start over. the best way would be to nationalize the hospitals and clinics for 20 years and to then privatize them.

Me too. But it cannot be replaced with nothing. If you don't like Obamacare, then you, or people who agree with you, must suggest an alternative universal healthcare plan. A suggestion that we simply drop it and leave poor people to fend for themselves again should be instantly dismissed.

Agreed, but I would let the private sector take it from day one.
Nationalizing the hospitals would keep the worst parts of ObamaCare alive.

@Brandon9000,
All very good points, Brandon. They are ready to write off ObamaCare, but have no solution to keep our citizens healthy - and important aspect of any country. That's the reason why "all" developed countries have universal health care.

Just saying "kill ObamaCare" is short-sighted and without any credibility when they have no other solution.

all ObamaCare is is an expansion of a deeply broken system. ObamaCare is not the problem, the broken system is the problem.
