@izzythepush,
I never really thought about it before but I wonder why some say spirit and some say ghost. Something else for me to research.

@Arella Mae,
As I am sure you know, the Epistle to the Hebrews was originally written
in Greek and the word your author has translated as "person" is
(transliterated) "hypostasis". Here is a cut-and-paste from dictionary.com.

hy·pos·ta·sis
1. Metaphysics .
a. something that stands under and supports; foundation.
b. the underlying or essential part of anything as distinguished from
attributes; substance, essence, or essential principle.
2. Theology .
a. one of the three real and distinct substances in the one undivided
substance or essence of God.
b. a person of the Trinity.
c. the one personality of Christ in which His two natures, human and
divine, are united.
3. Medicine/Medical .
a. the accumulation of blood or its solid components in parts of an
organ or body due to poor circulation.
b. such sedimentation, as in a test tube.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Origin:
1580–90; < Late Latin < Greek hypóstasis that which settles at the bottom;
substance, nature, essence, equivalent to hypo- hypo- + stásis standing,
stasis

Not making any point here, I just found it interesting.

@Arella Mae,
I'm glad my New Testament (koine) Greek course finally proved useful.

@George,
You can read in Koine? That's going too far, Koine and Latin. I'm thoroughly disgusted now.

Hell, no.
I can painfully work my way through some words and phrases at best.
My last Greek course was in 1966.
