Can ultrasounds or infrasounds cause fear to humans?

I have heard that some aircraft of the Luftwaffe during world war 2 used special ultrasounds to cause fear to the population they bombarded. I would like to know if this is possible.

Grman dive bombers like Stukas had air-driven sirens on them that would get louder as they went into their bombing dive--not ultrasonic, but designed to inspire fear, and apparently quite effective at that.

It's infrasonic sound (below 20Hz) that's sometimes thought to induce fear, not ultrasonic. Look at "Infrasound" in Wikipedia, particularly the subsection "Infrasonic 17 Hz Tone experiment"
