I would like to install windows 98 & then mandrake linux into my pc.
Is it after install the windows 98, then install the mandrake linux, the linux will not
affect my windows 98?
So i just want to know is there any other software or tools i can use to install multiple os beside using mandrake linux boot loader.
If you install Win98 and the Mandrake Linux the Linux install will modify the boot record so that it's boot loader will load first and allow you to chose which OS to run. Other than that it will leave your entire Win98 installation alone.
If you don't want to use the Linux boot loader you could install the OS boot loader that is a part of "Partition Magic". It perfoms the same function but it's a stand alone commercial app so you'd pay out the $$ for it.
Thanks for your answer.
Do i need to create the linux partition for the mandrake or just allocate one blank partition for it to let it format during the installation?
Thanks...
Just resize your windows partition to make room for linux and you can do the rest during the Mandrake install.
