Connery was the first to portray Bond in the movies. Barry Nelson was the first to do so on screen.

in 1962 in the movies it was Sean Connery in Dr. No.

However on TV it was US actor Barry Nelson. He played Jimmy Bond, a CIA operative, in the '50s on CBS adaptation of Casino Royale into a one hour television adventure as part of their Climax! series.
