Why are some white people so biased and racist?

so right now in canada, we have an election going on, and the three main candidates (all white) are basically saying the same thing about each other, are they racist?

Odd. I don't see anything about race in the statement: "If that man thinks he's going to win the Presidency, he's living in a fairy tale."

Did you WATCH the Presidental debates going on in the US in '08? McCain was trying to put Obama down simply because he is a PERSON OF COLOR and A CHRISTIAN.

SIGH- McCain kept referring to blacks as "YOU PEOPLE" and he was constantly looking at Obama when he said it in the Debates.

This statement may not be necessarly aimed at his race. I mean, he could also be refering to the fact that Obama seens too young and inexperienced for the job. Then again, im analyzing only this statement, I dont know what Bill Clinton is like.

Hate isnt really a rational thing. If you think about it, hatred against other races is just like hatred against other nationalities, the poor/rich, religion, ideologies, sexual preference, etc.

Humans have the instinct to "divide" the world in people who are their family/friends/nation, and those who arent. And they tend to hate those who are outside those spheres, or deem them as uniportant or inferior, or all of those things.

Racist whites just happen to cling to the idea of race. Some people cling to the idea of nationality, hating those who they deem outsiders, etc.

look, i have no love for politicians, if i had my way, they'd all be drowned at birth, but did you ever think that mccain meant democrats, when he said you people, and he looked at obama because, well, obama is a democrat

there are racists in the world for sure, but having to look extra hard to see or perceive you see them is a futile endeavour

so are a lot of white people

i still say it does you no good to look for perceived racism
