how often do you clean you laptop fan?

my laptop need clean fan every half year, because it is very hot.

@ohmylady,
Six months is what the tech guy at Staples told me, so I guess you're okay. Actually, he said to clean the interior with canned air, not just the fan. I think it's more a matter of getting rid of the dirt that the fan pulls in, rather than the air temperature.
