I believe a parasite has to be a different species.
Perhaps; but it is possible to conceive of such people from different nations and even different religions as parasites, if not in the scientific sense, at least in the alliterative sense... If I lived on you, exploited you, grew fat on food snatched from your baby's mouth, and grew powerful on your rights turned to my benefit; then what leap of imagination would it take to conceive of me as alien when all that I did was justified by my thought that I was some how blessed, different, or superior???...
We are enjoined to love our enemies, thinking it is not unnatural to love our friends and family; but what sort of person for his friends and family treats the whole world and the people in it as though a beast to use or destroy as is seen just from the narrow perspective of ones nearest and dearest???...
All my life I have been a beast of burden... I never gazed at the stars or saw the sun that I did not think to do so a theft from those who owned me, owned my dreams, who thought with their wages to buy my complete attention and devotion... That I dared think was a taking, and that loot of life came to me out of my will which was malignant and criminal almost from the start... Most people, and certainly most women never raise themselves to a perspective from which they can fairly judge their conditition... They may well choose to kill the life within them to save themselves from a more desparate slavery than they already suffer, but they are not using a right so much as suffering the want of rights... Is suicide a right if a person has no choice but to die fast or slow???... Freedom is choice and where women feel they have no choice neither are they free... We kill our babes because we have nothing to offer them and we have nothing to offer them because all our rights and resources have been taken from us by those who think they are better... But, they are not better or different from us, and we in our place are no more conscious of what we do to others than they... They have learned to be as they are, consider it natural, and we could with little effort turn from being slaves to becoming slavers... Yet, it is not natural in the true sense of the word, for it is unnatural to exploit your own nation and feed off them...
