I just bought a used Rain Soft EC4 75 CT and would like to set it up to my hardness and iron levels. Does anyone have a service manual or how to progrm this?

Also after hooking it up I tried a manual regeneration. It went through all the cycles but I noticed nothing came out of the drain tube. I took the head apart and found the Piston rod ( part # 18265) was broken, also the O ring in the end plug assembly (where the piston slides through) is a little rough . Any idea where I can purchase these parts?

The 'EC4' part number is not familiar to me, is this the Gold Series with the little drop?

this is not a reply - I simply cannot find any other way to contact you.....I have gone to your website and left several messages, but you have never called me back....please help....I have a RainSoft Gold Series installed by the Athens RainSoft that has gone out of biz.....don't really want to deal with the other dealer, as they will charge me a fortune for travel to do my maintenance or other work......can you help me in any way? Other than a Gold series softener, what other water treatment equipment do you have?

The EC4 was introduced in 2004. It is not the Gold Series. The Gold and Silver Series were discontinued in 2004.

Is the EC4 based on a Fleck valve body like the Silver and Gold was?

@H2O MAN,
We are installing the EC4 with the silver drop on the controller face piece in the house we are renting. We have the main unit, the salt container and what we believe to be the conditioner/filter tank as well. Anything you have on programming or running the system would be very helpful. Thanks in advance for anything you can do.

I need to reset and get my EC4 to regenerate at a regular interval. Can you tell me how to get in and reprogram it. It has stopped since I changed the filter.

Hi Im new here and I just installed a ec4 whater softener and I was wondering if u know or have any idea on how to change the water hardness settings in it.
Any help would b greatly appreciated.

I too require programming instructions - my hardness level has changed, and I cannot reset the Drinking Water alarm, even though I've already changed the filters Sad
