2011 MARCH MADNESS!! a2k's NCAA WOMEN's Basketball Tournie!

TAKE TWO! (((sigh))) Lost my first attempt at this thread because I was signed out of a2k. (((sigh)))

Different from the form of the MEN's Tournie contest due to the lack of web support for the Womens Basketball Tournament. ((BULLOCKS!!)) Thems the breaks when it comes to how women's and men's sports are placed up to each other. It would have been easier if they used the same online ballotting/bracket based formula for the women in which they used for the men.

Print out the Womens Bracket = http://www.ncaa.com/brackets/basketball-women/d1/2011
SUBMIT in your first prediction post:
I. Pick the winners of the first round.
II. Predict the four teams that you believe will go the final four.

AFTER the first round but before the second round: We will choose who will win the second round using the teams who advanced from the first round. The same will happen with the Regionals, etc....

1 point for every correct guess for the first round.
2 points for every correct guess for the second round.
3 points for every correct guess for the Regionals.
4 points for every correct guess for the Final Four games.
5 points for guessing the winner of the championship.

5 points for every team predicted to reach the Final Four, guessed prior to the first round.
Of course the tie breaker question that will be asked before the championship game is the score of that game.

After submitting this thread I will be the first person to submit my first round answers ... as a template for you if you like.

@tsarstepan,
Too bad it's more complicated for this one.

Here goes.

PHILADELPHIA
Conn
KS
Georgetown
Maryland
Penn St
Depaul
Iowa St
Duke

DAYTON
Tennessee
Marquette
Georgia Tech
OHIO STATE WOOO!!!
Oklahoma
Miami (FL)
Arizona St
Notre Dame

SPOKANE
Stanford
Texas Tech
N. Carolina
KY
Iowa
UCLA
Louisville
Xavier

DALLAS
Baylor
Houston
Green Bay

Final four:

(Not just boosterism for Ohio State, I do think they got burned on the ranking, they've been streaky and are streaking at the right time. Though they may go the other direction again. We'll see.)

@sozobe,
Sorry Soz. It may be a little more complicated but it will also be far more forgiving as everyone has a chance to recover from a bad round.

FOR Everyone Else (who happens to peek in on the thread before Saturday the 19 when the first round starts:
I wish I had a decent screen capture program at work but here is the bracket for others to contemplate.

I know very little about division 1 women's basketball other then the awesomeness of the Connecticut Huskies so don't be intimidated by the prospect if you don't know anything about the sport either.

C'mon Buckeyes. Go further than the men, you can do it. (They play the Lady Vols today at noon.)

LIZ Cambage Is touted as the next Lauren Jackson over here. could be media hype.

Set to be chosen by the Minnesota Lynx or Tulsa Shock, in the April 12 draft, Cambage will be on the WNBA rookie salary of $US46,708.

So who do you think will win tonight? Should be an exciting game. At home we have two rooting for A&M and 1 for Notre Dame - I think I may go with Notre Dame - I like the point guard. But A&M has never won so I always like that as well.

Either way it should be quite a game.

@tsarstepan,
Well A&M pulled it off.

Notre Dame could have won it if they came on stronger at the beginning - not good allowing A&M to get so far ahead at the get go.
