SAD DAY

Do you remember walking that rainy day?
To a place we did not care to be.
But choice we did not have a say.
But here we are, we must stay.

We had to see this through today.
Then we could begin another way
The tears would go and not stay.
But not today. .

I looked at you and asked why?
Their is a dark thunder cloud in the sky
Maybe if the sun would shine, everything would be fine
Instead there is the rain,

In our hearts he will remain.
Standing by the grave.
His memory and love I will save.
For the rest of my days.

His face I will not forget.
I stand with tears and regret
He was my father and true friend
Right up to his tragic end.

I remember his cheery face
Each time, I won the school race.
Even when I came in second place
He would still cheer.

Now all my life, I'll have to pay.
Because you have taken my Daddy away..
If you hadn't drove so fast that day
My Daddy would be here to see me play
