“Shukriya. Thank you, Sarlaji. See you next time.” A man’s voice comes from somewhere within the small office.

I came across the above sentence in my reading, What does the two Indian words mean in English?

Shukriya = thank you

Sarla = name of woman

You suffix ji to names of people you want to show respect to, especially if they are older.

From the picture, I see that you look like an India. In the same novel I came across another sentence:

“Beti, we will always be here for you. But your life is with him. You must trust in him. Your husband and son need you. If the mother falls, the whole family falls,” her mother recites from a traditional poem. “You must be brave for them.”

"If the mother falls, the whole family falls" Does this sentence really from some traditional Indian poem. And do you know more details of this traditional Indian poem?
