What is Love?

What is it to be in Love?

Love is the obscure, mundane.
Love IS everything that is not.
The indescribable, the intangible,
the un-graspable and the untamable.

Love is the sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach
when you smell his sweet scent pass through the air
And he is not around.

Love is the uncontrollable pounding of your heart
When your mind plays over the moments you spent together
When your thoughts anticipate the next moment alone
When you remember what he said with his eyes
Because how he spoke with out words
Hit your heart more
Than words could ever achieve

Love is his face racing across your mind
As the first thought of the morning
It is the thought of his warm breath missing
And the clutch of his body pulling you close
As your last thought in your bed alone at night

Love is unconditional, uncontrollable.
We do not pick who we love
How we love them
Or when it stops.

Love is a fire that burns deep in the core of our being
That our minds try every possible way
To smother out, shut down and drench
With fear of the day that it might disappear.

Holding tight to the mind's eye sight
The smell of the emotion it creates
The chemical reaction of his touch
The embracing sound of his voice
The pure thought of your souls having collided.

Love activates our senses
Enlightens our minds
Touches our hearts
Awakens our faith
Reminds of us to just wait…..

Breath in
Sit and bask in the feeling
Of a drug that cannot be bought
A high that cannot be faked
Sit and wait for the next gift
The next little dose of heaven
Revealed here on Earth
Created when two people unite

When the body, the words and the labels fade away
And all that is left in pure sight
Is the mind
The creativity
The dreams
The passion
The tears
The soul.

Love is what you cannot see.
The obscure.
Love is walking and talking all around us
The mundane
Only noticed when this reaction happens between us
And we appreciate
What is not seen.

Love is borrowing God's glasses
And seeing each other
Through His eyes
